The Segment That Started it All!
In November of 2019, just 6 months after Randy had quadruple bypass surgery, Bob and Kelly Phillips came to the shop and shot a segment of Texas Country Reporter on our relatively new business: making hand-forged cookware. Randy had done custom architectural blacksmithing for almost 30 years prior, and in 2017, decided to make a product: a skillet.
Business continued as usual after Bob and Kelly came to the shop, but in May of 2020, the episode featuring Randy aired and everything changed. The response was nothing short of overwhelming! James, Randy and Margie's son, who was raised in the shop and had worked with Randy for a number of years, was living in Nebraska with his wife and came back to Texas to help meet the demand. Three months later, James and his wife moved back to Texas, and James partnered with 3 Nail Ironware full time, making skillets with Randy.
That one segment has led to so many wonderful opportunities and blessings for our small business that we can point to it and say it was a defining moment in our lives. Long story short, this is the video that catapulted us forward and changed our lives in such a wonderful way. We hope you enjoy!
